The artist starts from the beginning of the 1960s, with the famous ‘Japanese Umbrella’, because of the typically oriental sunshade that was a great source of inspiration for him; to the exhibitions at the Gruppo N headquarters in Padua; to the creation of the first ‘Visual Dynamics’, at the beginning of 1961; to the anthological exhibition held at the Museo Civico degli Eremitani in Padua in 1988. A cross-section of Alberto Biasi’s creativity, his vision of form, light, surface and movement: fundamental elements of an artistic practice that made him one of the masters of Optical Art, known throughout the world starting with the 1964 Venice Biennale and the major exhibition ‘The responsive eye’ at the MoMa in New York in 1965.
