Press Release

Alzueta Gallery presents T-10 by Frédéric Dumoulin, an exhibition on view at the ground floor of Barcelona Sèneca from June 1 to June 30, 2026.

A series of ten works capturing particular atmospheres suspended in time. Each painting is a small notch cast into memory, a moment of lived experience transformed into visual sensation. Through a delicate process, Dumoulin rediscovers himself with each work, painting scenes both intimate and timeless: a boat sailing toward Kefalonia twenty years ago under the high summer sun, the heights of Delphi in thick white fog. In these paintings, memory becomes spatial, and color becomes a language for what cannot be said.

About the Artist

Frédéric Dumoulin creates enigmatic, monochromatic paintings inspired by nature and mythology: mountains, rivers, ancient ports, Homeric characters, and cities. His practice is guided by a desire to build a harmonious world where each element finds its natural place. Starting from small, minimal drawings, he develops compositions through layered fields of color that emit subtle “noises” or singular voices. His process is deeply intuitive and meditative, often beginning in silence before the canvas, and letting his mood impact the composition. Dumoulin is influenced by spirituality, religion, and mans relation to nature as well as artists Peter Doig, Cezanne, and Morandi.
