INVESTEC CAPE TOWN ART FAIR 2026

The 2026 edition of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair unfolds under the curatorial theme Listen, a proposition that invites us to slow down, to recalibrate attention, and to engage more deeply with what lies beneath the surface. Listening, in this context, is not confined to sound. It is an act of presence. It is the willingness to hold complexity, to sit with nuance, and to acknowledge the layers of history, identity, memory and landscape that shape contemporary life. At Booth C13, Christopher Moller Gallery presents a curated selection of artists whose practices resonate powerfully with this call to listen. Across painting, textile, mixed media and sculpture, the works in this presentation invite a quieter form of engagement. Chris Denovan’s layered figures hold space for absence and memory. Annamieke Engelbrecht’s fractured geometries question our understanding of time and cosmic order. Mpho Feni and James Mishio draw us into intimate psychological interiors, where identity and perception unfold slowly. Lionel Mbayiwa and Ablade Glover ground us in cultural memory and communal rhythm, reminding us that land and people carry ancestral echoes. Michael Gah and Emmanuel Kwaku Yaro honour African bodies and lived experience with dignity and resilience.
