Brazilian artist Mira Schendel is one of Latin America’s most prolific post-war artists, and helped solidify the reputation of European Modernism in Brazil. Recent solo exhibitions include Mira Schendel at Hauser & Wirth, as well as Tate Modern’s full-scale survey of Schendel’s work which travelled from London to the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and The Fundação de Serralves, Museu de Arte Contemporânea, Porto in 2014. Schendel’s work was also featured in the 20th São Paolo Biennial and the 12th Documenta, Kassel. Schendel’s works are included in museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and the MoMA, New York.
