Galerie Buchholz is pleased to announce Eliza Douglas, Anne Imhof, an exhibition of new collaborative paintings by Douglas and Imhof, as well as new works produced by both artists individually. Eliza Douglas (b. 1984, New York) lives and works in Frankfurt. Previous solo exhibitions include Nassauischer Kunstverein, Wiesbaden, 2017; Folkwang Museum, Essen, 2017; and Air de Paris, 2016.

Anne Imhof (b. 1978, Gießen, Germany) lives and works in Frankfurt. Currently, Imhof is representing Germany in the 2017 Venice Biennale, for which she was awarded the Golden Lion. She recently had solo exhibitions at Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, 2016; Kunsthalle Basel, 2016; and Galerie Buchholz, Cologne, 2016. Anne Imhof and Eliza Douglas have frequently collaborated on performance works since 2016. Alongside performance, both artists consider painting to be central to their practices. The exhibition at Galerie Buchholz New York is the first exhibition to present collaborative paintings by Douglas and Imhof.
