Château La Coste presents Chromatic Crumble!, an exhibition of new paintings and watercolours by Ziping Wang at the Galerie Richard Rogers. On view from 26 October 2025 to 22 February 2026, the presentation unfolds in dialogue with the gallery’s suspended glass-and-steel architecture, featuring a site-specific installation that extends Wang’s compositions into the surrounding space.
Almost folding into itself and rotating inward, Chromatic Crumble! immerses the viewer in a shimmering optical field—an illusion of shifting images and dazzling colors reminiscent of a kaleidoscope. Drawing from her signature vocabulary—fragments of food packaging, advertising, Chinese and Japanese decorative motifs, and Old Master still lifes—Wang assembles layered compositions that activate the viewer’s sensorial memory. Freed from their original contexts, these visual elements are recombined in vibrant, unstable arrangements that celebrate the power of design to shape perception, desire, and reality itself.

Ziping Wang is a Chinese contemporary artist known for her surreal, boldly coloured paintings. Drawing from visual sources ranging from the historical to the contemporary, Wang explores the conception of reality and image modification in the age of digital technology.

Founded in late 2020 by art world veterans Vanessa Guo and Jean-Mathieu Martini, Marguo is a Paris-based contemporary art gallery nestled in the Marais, dedicated to championing emerging and early-career artists from around the globe. Drawing inspiration from the founders’ rich cultural heritages and global perspectives, Marguo bridges Eastern and Western artistic sensibilities, amplifying voices often sidelined by mainstream institutions. Embracing a spirit of hybridity, Marguo weaves together local, international, and digital narratives, reflecting an unwavering conviction that art and life are intricately entwined. At its heart lies a dynamic exhibition program—strengthened by participation in major art fairs and bold off-site initiatives—that propels its mission forward. This vision is enriched by complementary endeavors: Casa Marguo, an artist residency and salon set within a historic townhouse on the Balearic island of Menorca; Marguo Books, a platform for editorial projects; and Bar Saka, an artisanal mixology bar adjacent to the gallery in the Marais (launched in 2024), reimagining the fusion of art and hospitality.
