Ana G. Zambrano Biography

Ana G. Zambrano is a choreographer, performer, teacher and movement director, with a degree in Audiovisual Communication (UCSJ, 2006).

She works in the field of live art focusing on the study of the body and its scenic, poetic and political potentialities. His research constantly expands and redefines itself in search of its own supports and languages that transit the indefinition between improvisation, performance and visual arts.

Her work takes the form of performance and dance pieces, video and installation and site- specific creations, it has been shown at Material Art Fair, Museo Jumex, MACO Art Fair, Biennale Internationale Design Saint Éttiene, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Vernacular Institute, Art Basel Miami, Salmon Festival Barcelona, Danza al Borde Chile, NCLAB Bogotá, Museo Experimental del Eco, Museo Tamayo, Museo Universitario del Chopo, MACO OAXACA, and Centro de Cultura Digital CCD, among others.

Founded the research, divulgation and performance production center El Entresuelo, a place for the body and its instincts (2018, CDMX).

Interested in education, as a mediator and teacher she creates hybrid spaces where artists, professionals and non-professionals of movement meet through the practice of improvisation and collective composition in real time.

She directs fauna a dance company non dancers, same that involves research clinics, continuous training, workshops and creations that question the current field of the scenic and notions about the choreographic (2018, CDMX).

She is part of Motos Ninja, a group of choreographers and visual artists collaborating since 2016 (CDMX-ARG), she is co-founder of La Hervidera-Laboratorio de Investigación Arteducativa since 2012.
