Born Canberra 1942. Visited Japan in 1957 and 1959 and again in the 1980’s and the long effect of these influences appear in his art today. His lifelong preoccupations are drawing and painting, and he believes in the continuing value and necessity of the materialised object in art. First exhibited 50 years ago, he lives and works in Melbourne.
