Jasper Knight is a Sydney-based artist and one of Australia's most successful young artists. He has shown internationally and is represented across Australia. He has been a consistent finalist in national awards from the Helen Lempriere Scholarship to the Archibald Prize. His work has consistently explored the relationship between material and subject and between constructed object and painted surface.
Read MoreKnight works across various media from painting to installation and sculpture; what links these works is a constructed, collage-like approach. He also produces sculptural work, often at a large scale, and has made a number of significant public art works in Australia and internationally. Knight's work engages joyously with life and modernity. He is an heir to the post-Pop artists who revel in the artifacts of contemporary life from industrial complexes to sports cars and highways.
