Katharina Bosse was born in Turku, Finland in 1968 and grew up in Kirchzarten, Germany. She graduated 1994 in Visual Communications at the Fachhochschule Bielefeld, Germany.
Awards include a DAAD-Scholarship in 1994 and The Agfa International Award for Photojournalism in 1997. In addition to her work as an artist, her editorial work is published by magazines including The New Yorker, Spin, Park Avenue, Wired, Der Spiegel and the New York Times Magazine. After working in New York for six years, Katharina Bosse is currently living and teaching photography in Bielefeld, Germany.
