Since 1983 to the present he has been professor of stone carving at the ENAP (Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas) of the UNAM. He also gave sculpture classes at La Esmeralda from 1986–1990. Through exchange programs, he has given classes in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain, and in Mexico he has given courses, lectures, and has participated in round tables at diverse institutes and state universities.
