Kyaw Htoo Bala holds a Diploma in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of The Arts, Singapore (2017). Through his multi-media practice, Bala reflects on contemporary issues. Adopting a surrealistic approach, Bala uses painting, photography, printmaking, sculpting, videography, and digital art to convey his messages.
In 2018, he began working as an art director in TV and film. In 2021, he founded Monologue Art Space in Yangon, Myanmar. He is now curating fellow artists and working together with junior artists.In 2021, Bala participated in a group exhibition in Paris. In 2022, he was one of the finalists of the Sovereign Asian Art Prize, Hong Kong.
