Lazarus Chan was born in 1996 in Hong Kong. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Science in New Media from School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong in 2019, and his Master of Arts from Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2022.
Chan’s creative practice spans across mediums including soundscapes, electronic installations, algorithmic art, data visualization, and generative art. His works examine the themes of life, death, space, consciousness and time, as well as the weight of existence under contemporary contexts. In 2025, he was invited by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau to participate in the AI Action Summit at the Grand Palais in France as an artist, further deepening his exploration of the intersections between science, technology, humanities and art.
