Liu Jiadong was born in Chengdu in 1985. He received a bachelor’s degree in sculpture from Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts in 2008. He has held several solo and group exhibitions in Shanghai and Chengdu.
In the past 10 years, the paintings, drawings, sculptures and installations created by Liu Jiadong are common objects in daily life. His recent research has focused on exploring the state of individual survival. For him, vision and self-association are deceiving, relying more on cultural networks, which do not fully allow him to experience individual existence.
