This body of paintings presents conditions that are all pervasive; atmospheric, changeable images that aren’t always noticed, they are about to emerge. Everything is in flux. The moment our attention tunes in and catches these fleeting images is the moment the works come to life. The works enshroud the viewer, hinting at the notion that conditions always exist around us, but are only noticed when our attention is geared toward it. Ambiguous and without prescription, they engage the viewer in an act of participation, while creating new realities each time the work is encountered.
