NGUYEN NGOC VU (A.K.A CAUBETHO)
is a Saigon-based emerging artist without being limited to media or genre. He has been making works widely such as digital arts, paintings and sculptures. Much of his work references everything from his heritage to his growing up experience, daily’s observation, political issues and pop culture icons.
Caubetho challenges norms by creating art with a combination of classical Vietnamese art and contemporary pop culture, that is both original and impactful. “Maximalist Surrealism”, he believes, is the style which ingeniously reflects his gesture marks, expressive nature and boldly use of colour in his works.
