RAMESH MARIO NITHIYENDRAN

In March 2016, Nithiyendran presented his largest project to date at Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art. In August 2015 he was the recipient of the prestigious Sidney Myer Fund Award for Ceramic Art. He was also awarded the NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (emerging) in 2014 at Artspace, Sydney. Born 1988 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Nithiyendran migrated to Sydney with his family in 1989. He studied painting at the College of Fine arts, University of New South Wales, and completed a Master of Fine Arts (research) in 2013. His work is held in the collections of Artbank, Shepparton Art Museum, University of New South Wales Collection as well as private collections in Australia and Sri Lanka.
