ROXY TOPIA & PADDY GOULD
Paddy Gould & Roxy Topia are UK based artists, who have been working collaboratively since 2008. They have exhibited extensively nationally and internationally, including shows in Los Angeles, New Mexico and Austria. “For these works we used glazes and the raw fired clay to form a base layer, which we then painted over. So there’s old histories of ceramics mixed with younger cultures, like custom bike/car paint-jobs and digitally printed fabrics. Some other things that were jumping off points were the body and desire, medical imaging techniques, the layering of internal/external and Ikebana.”
