Susan Hefuna was born in 1962 in Germany. She works in several medias such as drawing, installation, photography, video and performance. Susan Hefuna has exhibited widely at international institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Townhouse Gallery, Cairo; The Third Line, Dubai; Galerie Volker Diehl, Berlin; Kunstmuseum, Thun, Switzerland; Galerie Grita Insam, Vienna, Austria; Fare Mondi, 53rd Venice Biennial, Italy; Seville Biennial, Spain; New Museum, New York, USA; 2nd Riwaq Biennale, Palestine; 9th Sharjah Biennial, UAE; The Louvre, Paris, France; National Gallery, Cape Town, South Africa. Pi Artworks held her first solo exhibition in Istanbul in September 2011, parallel to the 12th Istanbul Biennial.
