Kwon SoonYoung, Kim SooYoung, Kim JungWook, Sunny Kim, and LeeJe have continued to change, focusing entirely on their working tendencies while sticking to their won styles in the fast and steep changes of contemporary Korean art scene. While the new generation of painting inclinations is being analysed and introduced to certain issues and methodologies, they have been studying their own unique ways from their early work in more depth. Art activities are the most flexible and free. However, in order for one’s activities and methodologies to be the most free, one must also strictly adhere to the principle of self-reliance. In this exhibition, the audience can see how the works that participating artists have pursued are maintaining their own world in the present tense.
