TAKAHIRO INAMORI

1977-2010, Japan
Takahiro Inamori Biography

Takahiro Inamori has been working on installation projects in Japan. The installations consist of video and photography from digital data. The works start from field work, which he calls “tourism”, to gather a large amout of information. For example to do research on a northern part of Japan, then he would travel there to experience the place and gather information. Inamori would then reconstruct the information to materialize the image that has been experienced. It's important for him to challenge “the unseen (something that are not visible; such as in case of aura, spirit, or feelings) at the space or in the object to be brought to visible exsistence”.

This field work and the collection of information is to connect and make layers of the scattered information in one place in order to realize something behind the exsiting reality which is “not possible to surface”.

The thing not possible to surface” is often the reason for beauty, the root for fear and power, the borderline for the real and the virtual. If one was to be asked if that exists, we have nothing to prove. However, he feels it might be possible to express this by his work.
