American artist William Klein, born 1928, is famous for his unconventional style and often ironic approach to photography. Klein began his career in painting after studying under Fernand Léger but later found success as a fashion photographer for publications such as Vogue magazine. The artist has since gone on to direct feature-length films as well as numerous documentaries and television commercials.
