Meyer Riegger and Jocelyn Wolff Open Joint Seoul Gallery Ahead of Frieze
By Elaine YJ Zheng – 15 July 2025, Seoul

Two galleries will establish their first permanent Asian outpost in Seoul this September, bringing European perspectives to the city’s rising art market.

Berlin’s Meyer Riegger and Parisian Galerie Jocelyn Wolff will open a joint space in the Korean capital’s affluent Hannam-dong area, a stone’s throw from Thaddaeus Ropac and Gallery Baton.

The new gallery will open doors on 2 September 2025, with the hope of realising their shared ‘long-term vision for the Korean market’.

Led by director and partner Gaia Musi, Meyer Riegger Wolff will showcase artists from both galleries, including Clemens von Wedemeyer, Alma Feldhandler, Eugène Leroy, Marcel Duchamp, and Isa Melsheimer.

The venture follows an earlier initiative which saw the galleries, who co-represent artists like Swiss painter Miriam Cahn and German sculptor Katinka Bock, open a temporary space in Manhattan’s East Village last year with project space Osmos.

Moving beyond the white cube, the inaugural exhibition Heute Nacht geträumt (Dreamed Last Night) (2 September–7 November 2025) will explore drawing across four centuries with a format inspired by the tradition of the French salon.

Featured artists include Miriam Cahn, Eugène Carrière, Meret Oppenheim, and Jonathan Monk, with themes like landscape, still life, and urban landscape. —[O]
