Collector Alexander Petalas has opened a solo exhibition of works by the subversive British artist Sarah Lucas (b.1962) at his private art museum in London, The Perimeter. The show runs until 18 December 2021.
Titled, SEX LIFE and supported by Lucas' long-standing gallerist Sadie Coles, the show follows an array of international solo exhibitions at prestigious institutions including National Gallery of Australia, Canberra (2021); CFA Berlin, Berlin and Le Consortium, Dijon (2020); Red Brick Art Museum, Beijing and Hammer Museum, Los Angeles (2019).
Since its conception in 2016, The Perimeter has hosted impeccably curated solo exhibitions of in-demand artists such as Ron Nagle and Carmen Herrera. _Citizens of Memory_, a group exhibition curated by Aindrea Emelife earlier this year, featuring artists such as Tunji Adeniyi-Jones and Walter Price, was a hot ticket during London's inaugural Gallery Weekend.
