1301SW and STARKWHITE present a self-reflective exploration for the 2025 edition of Melbourne Art Fair, investigating the fabric of a still relatively new gallery, 1301SW, alongside the more formed narrative of STARKWHITE.
As both galleries continue to grow, so too has the list of exhibiting artists, and we look forward to including new names in the 2025 presentation alongside some of our more recognisable figures. This showcase draws on the histories of both galleries and their artists to examine, build upon, and offer visitors to the fair a captivating presentation—one that is rich in concept and ambition. Together, these artists will highlight some of the distinct “styles” running throughout both galleries, namely: an appreciation for abstraction and modernism with historic roots composed from contemporary materials, productions and a playful conceptualism.
