Press Release

Alzueta Gallery presents T-10 project The Unknown, 10 years, an exhibition on view at the ground floor of Barcelona Sèneca from May 4 to May 28, 2026.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of The Unknown series, the T-10 exhibition presents a selection of the ten most iconic pieces from these past years in a special commemorative edition of the tenth anniversary.

The Unknown emerges as an evolution of the concept of identity based on the traditional definition of portraiture, where the face is the identifying element of the individual. Through the concealment of her own face with a paint stain, the character loses her identity in favor of gaining infinite possible ones depending on the viewer’s imagination.

“It felt somewhat aggressive to eliminate another person’s identity, so I decided to do it to myself through self-portraits. To dispossess myself of my own identity in order to have as many possible identities as there are eyes observing the work.”
