BAIK ART is pleased to present Asmoadji: Kisah Karat Besi. For his first duo solo exhibition alongside Jonathan Hadipranata, Asmo invites the visitors to experience life at the other side of central Jakarta through the artist’s eyes.

About the Artist

Asmo Adji is a self-taught artist who mainly works on painting and sculpture. Born and raised in a humble environment, Asmo started his artistic practice by sketching the sceneries around him, turning them into expressive lines on paper. He then reinterprets those sketches into three-dimensional format, combining new materials and found objects.

About the Gallery

In November 2022, BAIK ART opened its third location in Jakarta, Indonesia, with the inaugural exhibition titled Tumpeng. This new expansion can be traced back to BAIK ART’s residency exchange programme with Indonesian arts institutions and artists and aims to deepen a dialogue between Indonesian and global art scenes.
