Press Release

Giulia Ricci’s second solo exhibition with the gallery will feature a selection of ambitious large-scale works on paper entitled Alteration/Deviation.

This set of phenomenal works, the result of a project spanning 18 months, will be on view from June 22nd until July 18th. Here the artist embraces the large scale and continues to engage with seemingly simple geometric arrangements that slowly reveal an internal complexity that has become the signature of this remarkable artist. The London based artist’s show marks the launch of our new space in Ledbury Mews North, in London’s Notting Hill and will be part of the Kensington + Chelsea Art Week. A limited-edition publication with a text by Nathalie Rudd accompanies the exhibition and is also available for free to view online at gricci.art

About the Gallery

Established at the turn of the century by Niklas and Daniela von Bartha, the London-based gallery, Bartha Contemporary, places a strong emphasis on non-figurative and conceptual works by mostly established American and European contemporary artists. Hailing from the second generation of the art-dealing von Bartha family, Niklas, along with his wife Daniela, maintains a retrospective look at underappreciated modernising movements of the past in the gallery programme, whilst championing the latest works of contemporary artists.
