Dumonteil Contemporary is pleased to introduce you to the gallery's 40th anniversary exhibition.

In 1982, Pierre Dumonteil founded with his wife Dothi, the Dumonteil gallery at 38 rue de l'Université 75007 Paris.He devoted the activity of this gallery to the rediscovery of the great figurative artists of the interwar period and Pierre Dumonteil very quickly became the specialist in animal sculptors of the 20th century. He takes the representation of exceptional Estates or acquires important workshop funds.

Pierre and Dothi Dumonteil began in 1996 to participate in many major trade fairs in France and Europe, then from 2003 internationally. This development of activity led them to open a gallery in Shanghai in 2008 and then in New York in 2012.

Their children, Roxane and Dorian Dumonteil joined them during these developments. Since the death of Dothi Dumonteil in 2013, Pierre Dumonteil has continued the activity of his galleries in Paris, New York and Shanghai, now all devoted to contemporary art, with his children by his side.

Today, like their parents, Roxane Dumonteil founded her art acquisition and management consulting company and Dorian Dumonteil created the Dumonteil Contemporary gallery, which opened in December 2021.

These 40 years of activity as an art dealer and publisher will be celebrated at the Dumonteil Contemporary gallery at 8 rue d'Aboukir, 75002 Paris, from 9 December 2022 to 14 January 2023.
