For Art Basel 2023, our presentation notably includes historic works from the 1980s and 90s by three painters challenging the boundary between abstraction and figuration: Carla Accardi, Nathalie Du Pasquier, and Shirley Jaffe whose retrospective exhibition is currently on view at Kunstmuseum Basel. Our booth also focuses on the gallery’s longstanding commitment to various strands of photo-conceptualism with works by Jeff Wall, Thomas Struth, and Louise Lawler. In addition, we present an important selection of wall pieces by Belgian artist Edith Dekyndt whose unconventional techniques bring together organic materials such as sugar, rust and blood. Finally, we present a range of works by some of the gallery’s key conceptual and minimalist artists including John Baldessari, Carl Andre, Richard Tuttle, Robert Mangold and Jean-Luc Moulène alongside the work of newly represented artists including Magali Reus, Jacob Kassay and David Claerbout.
