As part of its 60th anniversary programme, Goodman Gallery presents a major outdoor sculpture installation at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the Côte d’Azur for the summer season.
Set within the hotel’s formal landscaped gardens overlooking the Mediterranean, the presentation brings together significant works by William Kentridge and Yinka Shonibare, offering a striking encounter between contemporary art and one of the Riviera’s most iconic settings.
The installation marks the public debut in France of these works, following recent large-scale presentations by both artists, and highlights Goodman Gallery’s continued commitment to showcasing leading voices from the African continent and its diaspora.
Yinka Shonibare presents a series of hand-painted bronze sculptures that evoke the movement and texture of African textiles. Despite their solid material, the works appear fluid and animated, interacting dynamically with the surrounding gardens and coastal landscape.
Alongside these, William Kentridge unveils Paper Procession, a bold abstract sculpture composed of painted aluminium panels. Resembling torn paper fragments assembled into a figurative form, the work’s vivid yellow tones create a powerful visual presence within the natural environment.
On view from 20 April to 1 September 2026, the presentation offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience major contemporary sculpture in dialogue with the historic and scenic setting of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
