On the occasion of Art Basel Miami Beach, Perrotin will present anexhibition at The M Building located in the Wynwood Art District inMiami. The presentation highlights the making of JR’s newest mural TheChronicles of Miami—which will be unveiled in December through twopublic outdoor installations in the city—alongside a selection of work byDaniel Arsham, Charles Hascoët, Leslie Hewitt, and Paola Pivi.
Perrotin is pleased to present a series of mixed media works and lightboxes by JR, made in relation to the debut of _The Chronicles of Miami,_one of the artist’s most intricate murals to date. Incorporating ten different neighborhoods and 1,048 participants, TheChronicles of Miami is a highly realistic, photographic mural that offersa window into present life in Miami.
Each wall of The M Building will showcase a different artist on thegallery’s roster. The works on view include Leslie Hewitt’sDaylight/Daylong diptych photo-sculptures, new paintings byDaniel Arsham and Charles Hascoët, as well as a new sculpture byArsham which consists of a reconstructed MV Superveloce motorcycle. Finally, Paola Pivi will stage 25 of her signature baby bears throughoutthe space, inviting visitors to wander through the whimsical environmentof fluorescent feathered bears.
