The Los Angeles gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of recent and historical works by Barbara Kruger, timed with her major survey at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on view across Wilshire Boulevard from March 20 to July 17.

Based in Los Angeles and New York, and celebrated internationally for her powerful, gut-wrenching words and images, Kruger continues to use strategies borrowed from mass media to call into question values and belief systems long engrained within contemporary culture.

About the Artist

Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1945, Barbara Kruger began her career as an editorial designer, followed by a picture editor at Condè Nast Publications. She started making art in the early 1970s and gradually developed her unmistakable and unique formal language using a powerful combination of image and text.
