Aiko Yuno (b. 1993, Osaka, Japan) completed her M.F.An in Mixed Media at Kyoto University of the Arts in 2018. In 2017, she undertook a short-term exchange program at the Royal College of Art, London. In 2018 she participated in the Kuandu Residency Program at Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan. Her major awards include a selection for the 2017 Tokyo Contemporary Art Foundation (CAF) and another selection for the 2019 Gunma Biennale for Young Artists. Yuno creates dreams and expectations for the future that she had imagined in her childhood, with differences from the real world she sees in everyday life. She also attempts to depict the fleeting impulses of emotions such as sadness, joy, and anger that arise in becoming an adult from a child, using a wide range of techniques such as paintings, bronze works, and installations.
