Alex Heung is an artist and art educator who graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) with a BA (Fine Art) and an MFA degree. He currently works as a Lecturer / Program Coordinator at Hong Kong Art School. His works explore the transformation of society, nature, animals, and the self. Since 2001, Alex has participated in 65 solo and group exhibitions, as well as various art projects in Hong Kong and abroad, including mural creation for MTR Ho Man Tin Station Public Art Project, Hong Kong (2016); artist-in-residence program at RMIT University, Australia (2015).
Awards received include Bronze & Excellent Award, HKDA Global Design Awards (2012); Outstanding MFA Achievement Award, RMIT University, Australia (2007); Painting selected by Hong Kong Art Biennale (2003). His works were collected by Hong Kong Museum of Art; MTR, Hong Kong, and private collectors.
