b. 1983, ThailandBest known for her Burqa series of photographs, young Thai Muslim photographer Ampannee Satoh (b. 1983) examines the lives of contemporary Muslim women through her lens.
Satoh has exhibited in MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, and the National Gallery Thailand. In 2007, she was awarded the First Prize for Photography in the Young Thai Artist Award.
