Andrew Rogers is known for his large scale public and land works. Constructed from stone, his sculptures or 'geoglyphs' stretch across the landscape. His most ambitious work is 40,000 square metres and have occupied areas in Israel, Chile, Sri Lanka, China and the Mojave Desert. His Rhythms of Life land art project spans 14 countries on seven continents and been undertaken by a team of over 7000 people. Rogers' work has been described as an “optimistic metaphor for the eternal cycle of life and regeneratio, expressive and suggestive of human striving and introspection.” His geoglyphs derive from ancient symbols from South America, reinscribed in the landscape.
