DAVID GRAHAM
Born in Christchurch, Graham was one of three children. His family moved to Levin not long after, he later attended Horowhenua College where he began to paint. He was interested in the mathematical and geometrical construction of paintings, along with their intellectual content.
“There is a dream quality in many of the works of David Graham that somewhat contradicts hid denial of romanticism. All of his work, however, reflects the high sensitivity of his nature, and his highly developed visual perception. He was intensely interested in how sight operates, and how we perceive the world around us.”
