Miao Hanwen, born in 1985 Wuhan, China, is a member of the China Artists Association, a full-time painter at Shenzhen Fine Art Institute, and holds a doctorate in art. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Chinese Painting at Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, his master’s degree from the School of Art at University of Northampton, UK in 2011, and his Ph.D. in Art from the School of Art and Design at Wuhan University of Technology in 2017.
His works have been awarded the silver prize at the 11th and 12th Hubei Provincial Fine Arts Exhibitions and have been selected on multiple occasions for National Fine Arts Exhibition.
His works were collected by several major art institutions including Guangdong Art Museum, Guan Shanyue Art Museum, Shenzhen Fine Art Institute, Hubei Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, and China Printmaking Museum.
