Michelle Day is a sculpture and installation artist based in Canberra, Australia. She studied at The Australian National University graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Visual art in Textiles and Honours in Sculpture.
Michelle predominantly works with fabric, silicone, steel, glass, ‘found object’ and light. Her work often focuses on perceptions of growth and the body. She is interested in the physical and mental aspects surrounding 'the organic' and how ‘the mechanical’ relates to it. Michelle has received a number of grants and has exhibited nationally and internationally.
