Natascha Schmitten

b. 1986, Germany

Natascha Schmitten explores possibilities of painting in a fresh and undogmatic way. Her works play with figuration and abstraction and consist of multiple layers of semi-transparent oil colour on nylon. These multiple transparencies and subtle traces establish the pictorial space as a constantly variable and open space.
