About Fondation Pernod Ricard

True to Paul Ricard’s engagement with artists, but also Société Ricard’s values of conviviality and generosity, the Fondation is resolutely dedicated to emerging art.

Since its opening in Paris in 1998, the Fondation d’entreprise Pernod Ricard has been actively contributing to the development of French art scenes on a national and international level. Having no collection of its own, its identity is shaped by the people who infuse it with life day-to-day: artists, curators, authors, intellectuals… In this way, it reflects the diversity of artistic creation, its pulse beating to the rhythm of art’s variations.

Convinced that art provides a path to freedom and to living together better, the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard aims to promote all of today’s forms of artistic creation, making it accessible to everyone, free of charge. To this end, it runs a rich programme of exhibitions and events, an exacting editorial policy, numerous off-site events, and supports a wide variety of art projects. In 1999, it created the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard Prize, the first to recognize young artists on contemporary French scene.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Prize, it published a book that presents a history of art in France since 1999. Placing experimentation at the heart of its activities, the Fondation d’entreprise Pernod Ricard is a site of new art experiments.
