Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland-based artist Shannon Novak creates compositions of line, colour, shape or sound that aim to engage with people and spaces, building on his concept of finding ‘music in everything’. For his 2015 Project Wall exhibition Deep Concinnity, Novak installed a series of abstract interventions that branched out from the Project Wall and could be found in odd crevices and nooks throughout the building, like a musical score integrated into the architecture. Three of these works remain as permanent works.
