Adriana Varejão‘s spectacular show at Pinacoteca de São Paulo, curated by the institution’s curator Jochen Volz, gathers more than 60 of the artist’s works made between 1985 and 2022.
Varejão has a unique and visceral approach to painting and sculpture, drawing on the motifs and artistic traditions from across Mexican history, dating back to the pre-Columbian era.
