For two weeks, Jeff Koons’ Balloon Venus Hohlen Fels (2013–19)—a pink mirror-polished steel sculpture that is part of his most recent ‘Antiquity’ series (2008–present)—takes centre stage at Pace Gallery‘s Palm Beach space. The exhibition marks Koons’ first presentation with the mega-gallery since joining in April 2021.
In conversation with Ocula Magazine earlier this month, Koons explained, ‘What art is really doing is trying to connect us to our human history so we can understand the moment we’re in and how we can find a way forward that is preferable for our survival and enjoyment of life.’ Read the full conversation here.
