In an interview with Teresa Oschman, the artist tells about a period that would be crucial in his artistic career and demonstrates, once again, how a truly great inventor has the sensitivity to absorb ideas from everyday life. The ‘Trame’ will be instrumental in the development of the later works known as ‘Dynamic Optics’ which made Alberto Biasi famous as an exponent of optical art (or Op-Art) throughout the world, starting with the famous 1965 exhibition at the MoMa in New York ‘The responsive eye’.
Dep Art Gallery has been collaborating with Alberto Biasi since 2008. Over the years the gallery has dedicated several solo exhibitions to the artist, as well as some special projects and monographic catalogues.
