1301SW and STARKWHITE’s joint presentation for the 2026 Melbourne Art Fair brings together key artists from Australia and abroad in a refined exploration of abstraction, materiality, storytelling, and perception. Featuring a large central platform that supports a constellation of sculptural objects, this sits in conversation with the suite of pictorial works acting as the skyline. Together, the presentation constructs a space that is at once disorienting and seductive, contemplative and curious.

Featuring works by Billy Apple®, Mikala Dwyer, David Egan, Simone Griffin, Jonny Niesche, Fiona Pardington, Anselm Reyle, Hadieh Shafie, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Mark Whalen and Pae White — artists whose diverse practices intersect through shared concerns and collectively reflect key sensibilities across both galleries — this presentation will be a richly aesthetic, conceptual and materially diverse oﬀer at the fair.
