1301SW and STARKWHITE return to Sydney Contemporary 2026 with a cohesive presentation that foregrounds perception, the unseen, overlooked, or forgotten, examining themes of memory and material experience. Anchored in a sustained engagement with Modernist legacies, each artist approaches their chosen medium—painting, photography, and sculpture—with a heightened awareness of its material properties and conceptual rigour, emphasising formal clarity and an interest in spatial or linguistic structures.
Underscored by a dynamic tension between analogue and digital modes of production, the display will present hand-wrought processes that intersect with machine-like precision to generate optically charged imagery.Booth C01
