We are delighted to announce our participation in the upcoming Sculpture Exhibition co presented by the Asia Society Hong Kong Center (ASHK) and the Hong Kong Gallery Association (HKAGA). The one -month long exhibition opens tomorrow and runs until April 26th.

For this occasion, we are bringing Apple Blossom 3 by the pivotal Hong Kong sculptor Kum Chi-keung, who is well known for using sculptural installations in the shape of birdcages to explore social, cultural and environmental issues.

The Sculpture Exhibition will feature 21 artworks from 19 local and international galleries around the historic premise of Asia Society Hong Kong Center. An Online Art Talk program will be held on Saturday, March 28th as well.

About the Artist

For nearly a decade, Kum Chi-Keung has made birdcages his sole artistic language and experimented with its appearances and connotations. To him, this art is an endless source of inspiration and interpretation. Transforming common objects into artworks, he articulates the dynamics of urban lifestyle through site-specific installations for numerous organisations and locations. The artist continues the traditional Chinese practice of birdcage-making and expands the creative possibilities of the common birdcage by varying its size, design, use of material and placement.
