For our fourth consecutive time exhibiting at Art Miami, we are honored to present a Solo Booth by Andrea Torres Balaguer with a new and never before seen series that meditates over the concept of Surrealism and that draws inspiration from Joan Miró's artworks.
From a historic perspective, surrealism has been one of the signature art movements in Catalan art tradition, with names such as Remedios Varo, Joan Miró, Esteban Fracés, Angel Planells and Salvador Dalí. Thus, photographer Andrea Torres Balaguer embarked in paying homage to this tradition with her known style of photography, with gelatine silver prints intervened with Black Indian ink.
